Hi I’m Debra and I’ve been working in SENDIASS since 2014, having previously been employed by Parent Voice. 
 

• I enjoy working with families to enable them to get the best possible support for their children.
   

• I am keen to put children/young people at the heart of everything that we do and my training in person centred practices supports this. 
   

• I’m currently co-chair of the board of governors of an MLD school. I helped oversee the conversion to a single academy and more recently a multi academy trust.
   

• Prior to this, I helped set up Hampshire Parent Carer Network to be an independent organisation. I was heavily involved in the Pathfinder work for the introduction of the Children and Families Act 2014. 
   

• I was also a trustee of a local Down Syndrome Support Group and helped create a new pathway for secondary aged children with a view to them moving into adulthood. 
   

• Prior to having my 3 children, I worked as a civil Servant for HMRC, both in technical case work and in management working at different locations throughout the country.
