Hi, I’m Gayle. I’m the Service Manager at Hampshire SENDIASS. I’ve spent 15 years in various roles within the SEND and social care sectors, including 9 years with SENDIASS.
It's my job to work with my team, stakeholders and customers to make sure that we provide the information and advice that people need.
I spend at least half a day each week taking calls on our helpline and 1-2 days each month meeting families face-to-face in clinics. It’s my favourite part of the job because every conversation is different. Listening to people keeps me in touch with what’s really happening for children and young people, and being able to offer advice is very rewarding.
I'm proud of the team we have at Hampshire SENDIASS. Each person brings different lived experiences and perspectives. Every day I'm grateful for the talented people I work with!
I'm excited about the future - in 2023-24 we started to offer SENDIASS for the Isle of Wight, Richmond and Kingston, as well as providing training and management for SENDIASS in other local authorities. I’m looking forward to finding out what opportunities the next few years will bring.
